Optometrists Team

Our team of highly qualified Optometrists are passionate about offering you a great customer experience. Between them they have completed further Optometric qualifications such as Certificates in Glaucoma and managing Minor Eye Conditions. As such we are able to offer our patients Enhanced services such as Glaucoma Referral Refinement Schemes, Ocular hypertensive monitoring schemes and Community Ophthalmic Referral Refinement Schemes that can help detect and manage conditions such as red eyes, dry eyes and flashes and floaters.

Colin BlenkinsopBSc, FBDO, MCOptom, Prof Cert Glaucoma
Colin leads our team of experienced professional colleagues and has a lifelong passion for Optics, starting his career over 40 years ago. Having recently completed The College of Optometrists Certificate in Glaucoma his passion for Optometry has never left him. Outside of work he can be found with family and friends. He enjoys cycling, sailing, golfing, clay shooting and appreciates the odd glass of wine. He enjoys talking to his patients about their lifestyle and how that relates to their eyewear needs.
Jenny BlenkinsopBSc, MCOptom, Prof Cert Glaucoma, Prof Cert Med Ret
Jenny joined the family business after qualifying as an Optometrist in 2007. Since then Jenny has gained higher professional qualifications in Minor Eye Conditions and has a Certificate in Glaucoma and medical retina from The College of Optometrists. She has experience in chairing the Local Optical Committee in Leeds and has qualifications in Leadership for Optical Professionals. When away from work Jenny enjoy practicing yoga, cycling and jogging.
Jemima KeeneBSc, MCOptom
Jemima Keene is a qualified Optometrist with 12 years Experience in independent
practice, specialist contact lens fitting, prison optometry and domiciliary optometry.
Her professional interests include Clinical optometry, medical retina, using diagnostic equipment to accurately manage & care for patients and contact lens fitting.
When away from the sight test room she can be found coaching the U12 football team in her local community. She loves sports: both playing and watching and enjoys socialising with her friends.

Karen JohnsonOptical Support / Clinical Assistant
Karen began her career in optics with us in 2013. During this time Karen has gained her Diploma in Optical Support and is an enthusiastic member of our team. She enjoys the fashion aspect of optics and in her spare time enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

Lab Technicians

DaveSMC (Tech)
Dave is our qualified SMC (tech) lab technician. He began his career in optics with us in 2008. Dave and the spectacle glazing lab mean we have excellent quality control over our spectacles.
